I could blog...
I haven’t blogged for very long. And a lot has happened.
I could blog about the reunion gig with my old friends at the Munchie Monkeys where we played old classics, but it was letdown by my inability to hold the mic properly. Furthermore a friend of mine thought so lowly of it that he even failed to mention my group during one of his entries that wrote about how he was entertained by all the other performers on that day.
I could also blog about my physical proficiency test held on that same day. This was a test that determined whether I was fit enough and apparently “cool” enough to start training to be a PE teacher. The possibility of failing was high because I wasn’t quick enough to react to badminton serve, however the results came and I didn’t fare too badly, although this same friend of mine, thought it was such a disgrace for him that he passed with the same points I had. He has a point. After all he epitomizes everything a pe teacher should be, fit, agile, muscular, smart, inspirational, eloquent, witty, humble…..
I could also blog about the amount of flak I have gotten from everyone for the inactivity on this page, that made me realize the amount of fans that my blog has attracted or so I think. I have just been busy friends with school work, and everytime I felt like blogging, my guilt kept telling me that I should be spending this time doing my countless number of essays.
I could have also blogged about one of the greatest birthdays I have had in years. Yes I turned 24 on 8th April and my friends gave me a surprise at Fish and Co at Park Mall. Its one of those, I thought nobody bothered about my birthday but in the end everybody actually did care, kind of surprise. Earlier on in the day, my nu quest colleagues and boss, gave me a surprise as well, with a mango cake and a paycheck worth more than I had deserved. After the surprise at Park Mall, it was off to meet great friends at simpang although those who were absent for various reason were sorely missed. All in all I would really like to thank everyone, those who bothered to organize the entire day, and those who turned up, I am truly grateful for having friends like all of you. I cannot thank all of you enough.
The next day was spent with the people at home. We had a sumptuous meal at Istanbul after I came back from Mendaki and had my much needed rest from all the activity the day before. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat as much as I wanted to, in the name of maintaining my healthy lifestyle. Oh yes, fortunately I haven’t totally slacked off from my exercise regime, although I have forgone the whole no-carbo diet phase. I just try to eat less rice nowadays.
I could also blog about the mundane lifestyle that I am leading right now, because I am busy preparing for my exams that will be happening next week. As it is right now, I am in school after just 3 hours of sleep last night. Its really difficult preparing for my exams with a theatre practical smacked right in the middle of the reading week. It is also difficult to be studying when I have simply lost any mood to do so. So I suppose any hopes of graduating with a bang is all lost.
Lastly, I should blog about how grateful I am for the life I am leading right now that God has bestowed upon me. This is because I feel that I am blessed to have the company of great people. I have a great family that have supported me and been there for me no matter what, and great friends that have stayed me in my happy and sad hours. The next posting is a photo collage, in dedication to these very important people in my life. All I need now is……
